For those who can’t make it out to Wadmalaw Island this weekend for the First Flush Festival (see story), there’s an opportunity to catch some of the featured artists in an intimate setting on Sat. May 15.

The Pour House hosts a Pre-First Flush Party on the deck from 5-9 p.m. with live performances from Wisconsin-based singer/songwriter Cory Chisel and local singer/guitarist Sadler Vaden (of power trio Leslie). Chisel performs early in the evening at First Flush on Sun. May 16. He visits Charleston this weekend in support of his latest album Death Won’t Send a Letter.

Local station The Bridge at 105.5 has been spinning several Chisel tunes this year. There’s an $8 cover at the Pour House for the event. Snake Oil Medicine Show and Mad Tea Party perform on the main stage after the party.

See and for more.
