Local trio Dangermuffin is wrapping up a very busy summer. Touring the U.S. in support of their independently released album Moonscapes, singer/guitarist Dan Lotti, drummer Steven Sandifer, and guitarist/banjoist Mike Sivilli put a few thousand extra miles on their Dodge van on several cross-country trips.

They recently embarked on a six-week tour through the Midwest and along the West Coast. A few tunes from the new collection have enjoyed multiple plays on college and commercial radio and on XM-Sirius channels.

“It’s been very productive,” reports Sivilli. “We played to some serious crowds out West. I think about 30 total stations are spinning songs. It’s going to feel good to get home and catch our breath for a little bit, although honestly the road has been very exciting and rewarding.”

The band plays a handful of shows in Charleston this month (check the Music Board listings for acoustic shows tis week at the Surf Bar, Juanita Greenberg’s, and Zia Taqueria) before heading back out for more trips in October.
