Acclaimed British pop songwriter David Gray — a gentle-voiced vocalist known best for his 2000 single “Babylon” — recently announced a concert at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center.

Over the winter, his intimate, acoustic-based Lost and Found tour made its way across the U.S. in support of his ninth studio album Foundling. The 14-date spring tour includes a big show at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and a stop at the Dave Matthews Band Caravan Festival in Atlantic City, N.J.

According to press releases, Gray’s current set features plenty of new songs from Foundling (including the single “A Moment Changes Everything”) and his recent folk-pop collection Draw the Line as well as “reinterpretations of songs from his entire catalog.”

Gray is solid for the Performing Arts Center on Fri. July 1 at 8 p.m. Tickets for show go on sale for $49.50 and $39.50 (plus applicable fees) on Fri. April 15 at 10 a.m. at the Coliseum box office, ticketmaster.com, and by phone at (800) 745-3000.
