Hey everybody, it’s a sausage party over at Cypress.

Chef Craig Deihl’s soppressata — cheekily named Cypressata — took home the Southeast region win for best charcuterie in the inaugural Good Food Awards.

He received his award from Alice Waters last week in San Francisco.

Other categories included pickles, cheese, beer, chocolate, and preserves. Hopefully we’ll some of our other artisans rewarded for their hard work next year.
