Loyal customers of Dell’z Deli, rejoice. Though many a heart was broken when Maudell “Dell” Grayson closed up her take-out joint on Cannon St., her latest move should make them happy. Less than a month ago, Dell’z Deli reopened in the upstairs at Midtown Bar & Grill (559 King St). When I spoke with Dell she sounded excited about the new location and its possibilities. “We’re bringing back the same menu we had, but we’re adding even more options now,” she says. “We’ll be bringing juice and coffee in. We have a lot more room to work with.”

Relocating has had quite the change on the deli’s appearance — seating is now upstairs, the take-out counter is at the entrance — but don’t let that fool you. Dell is still treating her customers with the same “One Love” mentality she’s been working with since she started cooking for the public, and she says she’s eager to add even more members to her ever-expanding customer family.

Dell’z at Midtown is open to dine in Mon.-Fri., 5 p.m.-9 p.m., Sat. 11 a.m.-9 p.m., and for Sunday brunch from 11 a.m.- 4p.m. Dell says that’s the busiest time of the week. “It gets packed in here,”Dell says. Take-out is available Mon.-Sat. 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sun. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and then late night evenings 11 p.m.-3 a.m.
