The Charleston Area Convention and Visitor Bureau recently received a video from a Donald Trump supporter featuring the presidential candidate declaring Charleston “back in business” after this month’s severe flooding. However, the CVB noted that although they appreciated Trump’s message, the video, which they distributed to their members, was not an endorsement of the controversial candidate.

“The bureau does not engage in presidential election activities, so we provided it to our members to enjoy his kind words,” says Catherine S. Dority, CVB marketing director.

I guess, we won’t be seeing The Donald in the next CVB “Best in the Nation” ad. Sigh.
