One bonus that comes from all this localized shopping I’ve been doing is racking up stickers for free Cuisinart gear at Piggly Wiggly.

Between now and January 18, shoppers get a sticker for every $10 they spend. Accumulate 30 stickers and you can trade it in for a 1 qt. pan or a 7-inch skillet. Or you can save up for a bigger ticket item like a griddle, a blender, or a coffee maker (that’s what I’m going for — I only need 100 stickers. Or I can pay $30 with 50 stickers).

The Pig has always been big on rewards. I’ve got an entire library of Arthur books for my kids and a great Royal Doulton covered skillet thanks to previous incentive programs. I’ve used the Greenbax rewards program to buy Christmas presents, fill my tank with gas, and rent DVDs. I’ve received free milk, sugar, and eggs too.

This month because I’ve been doing all of my shopping there, I bet I’ll be upgraded to at least the Silver Rewards Club status, which means I’ll earn double Greenbax on everything I buy at the Pig.

Now why have I been shopping at any other grocery store?

The Pig isn’t the only local establishment that rewards my loyalty. Dolittle’s has a Dolittle’s Dough card. For every 25 bucks, you get a bone-shaped stamp. Get 12 stamps and you get $25 off your next purchase.

Rev Food has introduced Revolutionary Rewards at its five local restaurants — Monza, Closed for Business, Taco Boy, and Poe’s Tavern. For every $100 you spend, you earn $10, which is stored on a gift card and can be spent at any of the restaurants.

A really specific reward program is Mellow Mushroom’s Beer Club, but you’ve got to drink 100 beers to get in. My husband’s a member, which means he gets his beer poured into a gigantic beer mug when we dine there and gets invited to exclusive parties and such. All in all, it’s a very cool if rather exclusive rewards program.

Any other good incentive programs out there I should be taking advantage of?
