Christmas came early to Edmund’s Oast. The restaurant and 40-tap beer hall was just named Beer Bar of the Year by Imbibe magazine

Imbibe honored the Oast for its “expansive reach and range,” as well as owners Scott Shor and Rich Carley’s dedication to crafting unique house brews like Lord Proprietors, Nameless City, and the now well known Peanut Butter & Jelly beer.

“We’re brewing unusual, fun, and funky things that are different from what we can purchase. We aim to cast a very wide net.” Shor says in the write up.

The approach seems to be working as the Imbibe accolade tops off a wildly successful first year in business for the gastropub what with three glowing reviews in Charleston magazine, Post & Courier, and City Paper. Not to mention the national nods from The New York Times and Eater.com’s recent review from Bill Addison.

Edmund’s team is on a tear. We can’t wait to see what they’ll do in 2015.
