A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of going to a tea party at the fledgling Society Street boutique, Estella Vitae. The place is like Charlie’s Chocolate Factory for the shopper in search of awesome vintage clothing and unique pieces. It reminds me a bit of Anthropologie, but I think that this boutique would be hard to copy. Estella features stuff like handmade bags made by a man on Bleaker Street in New York City. My favorite section is on the second floor in My Sister’s Room. There you’ll find American Apparel T-shirts screen-printed by a local Charleston artist, jeans so comfortable you can do yoga in them, and some really interesting shoes. I found a vintage pair of espadrilles for $12. If none of those items sound appealing you at least can’t pass up a Jonathan Adler candle! New merch arrives all the time so I believe this boutique should be a regular destination on Saturday afternoons. —Emma Hart
