Local plant-based food company Fairy Fresh Foods announced the launch of five curated products Tuesday, ushering in a new era for owner Shaquille Fontenot, who started the company as an all-vegan meal prep service in 2019. All five products can be purchased online and are geared toward helping folks recreate Fairy Fresh Foods meals at home, Fontenot told the City Paper last month

“We can’t wait for you to have some Fairy Fresh goodness delivered right to your doorstep to use in your holiday cooking,” Fontenot wrote on social media

Fontenot’s “passion for healing the community” is the driving force behind Fairy Fresh Foods, which was forced to pause its weekly delivery service at the onset of the pandemic. Moving forward, Fairy Fresh Foods will focus on curated products along with private dining and catering events, Fontenot said.

Fairy Fresh Foods’ green chili mac and cheez mix, infused olive oil, chipotle lime salt, rosemary smoked herb mix and curry salt are available a la carte, but in the future, Fontenot plans to expand the product line and offer a subscription box featuring a variety of all-vegan snacks and ingredients.

Shipping is free for orders over $50 in December. For more information, visit fairyfreshfoods.com.
