Monday. In case you haven’t heard, there is a brand-spankin’ new microbrewery in Mt. Pleasant by the name of Westbrook Brewing Co., named after its Charlestonian founder Edward Westbrook. This holiday season, the new brewing company is celebrating its official launch with the release of three signature ales: the Belgian Pale Ale, India Pale Ale, and White Thai. There is a casual release party at Chai’s this evening. Samples of three signature ales will be available on tap. Expect bottles in stores this week.
Tuesday. If you’re already planning to be at the Holiday Festival of Lights Tuesday evening, say 6-9 p.m., then check out Mrs. Claus’ Storytelling and relive some Christmas time favorites.
Wednesday. Per usual there is a Barn Jam out at Awendaw Green, just behind the Sewee Outpost. This week’s jam session features sets by the Hwy. 17 Blues Band, Joel T. Hamilton, Ashley Wells, and Lizzy Pitch. It starts at 6 p.m. and the weather should be clear and crisp so bundle up accordingly.
Thursday. Voodoo Tiki Bar and Lounge hosts Lunacy, a full moon, clothing is optional, dance party with a variety of music spun by Rocky Horror, Joycette, and K Flossy. Get in free to this night of debauchery by wearing a costume.
Friday. Regardless of the holiday you do or do not celebrate, take a few moments anytime between 9-9:30 p.m. to join Americans across the country in lighting candle outside your home, or wherever you may be, to support the veterans and soldiers that cannot be with their families this holiday season.
Sunday. Everette Bigbee local singer/guitarist of Stained Glass Wall is celebrating a birthday and the holidays with an all-star jam session at Art’s Bar & Grill in Mt. Pleasant. Bigbee’s Birthday Bash kicks off at 9 p.m.
