TUESDAY. EatFit LiveFit + CrossFit celebrates their grand opening from 5:30-8:30 p.m. For a healthy evening out, visit the new center, try some fitness classes, and donate your “fat clothes” to the SC Thrift Store.
WEDNESDAY. For some live music check out Hit or Miss, a rock/groove duo featuring singer/guitarists Joel Timmons and Ward Buckheister (of Sol Driven Train). The duo plays at Art’s Bar & Grill at 10 p.m.
THURSDAY. From 12-7 p.m. at Hampden clothing, everyone is invited to check out some new fall samples at the Twinkle by Wenlan Trunk Show. ONE hosts their July Show featuring Lee Butler Designs, jewelry by Hyla DeWitt, O N E L O V E by Rachel Gordon, Sean Money Photography, Elizabeth Fay Photography, Je Modiste hats, and Taashki Handbags. Or head over to the Windjammer to view some of the most kick-ass beach volleyball players from across the country. The Barefoot Wine AVPNext Series honors these talents and gives amateurs a chance to team up against AVP’s top professional teams.
FRIDAY. John Stango, a Philadelphia urban pop artist, showcases his new works at SCOOP Studios. An opening reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., marking Stango’s debut show in Charleston. The South Carolina Historical Society invites you to celebrate the book launch of Faith, Valor, and Devotion: The Civil War Letters of William Porcher DuBose. The book launch starts at 5 p.m. and includes a special 20 percent discount and light appetizers for attendees.
SATURDAY. Holy City Artists and Fleas is back for round two. Eye Level Art: 103 opens its doors to allow anyone to come search for some locally made treasures from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project asks for volunteers to partake in a Folly Beach cleanup in an effort to keep our beaches “barefoot-friendly”. After the cleanup, enjoy a celebration at Blu Restaurant, where volunteers 21 and older can enjoy Barefoot Wine.
SUNDAY. Check out the Community Block Fest featuring a car and bike show. The event, held at Kush Lounge, will also include vendors, presenters, kids events, and live music beginning at 4 p.m. The Summer at St. John’s Concert Series continues this Sunday with Brink Norton, tenor, and Todd Monsell on piano. And Miss Tess & The Bon Ton Parade, a “modern vintage” blues band from Boston, play a free show at the Pour House following the local reggae talents of Lance Starr on the deck.
