MONDAY. Here’s a good one if you don’t have cable: See the Tattooed Moose’s television debut on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives at Tattooed Moose at the beloved NoMo restaurant and bar. You should definitely throw down some cash on a duck club, the sandwich featured on the show, but you’ll get a free champagne toast after the episode.
TUESDAY. Tonight marks the first night of free Charleston Comedy Fest L’After parties at the downtown Mellow Mushroom, even before the festival itself begins. Stop by each night through Saturday for live music, food and drink specials, a chance to seduce your favorite comedian, and more.
WEDNESDAY. Speaking of Comedy Fest, it officially starts tonight. Most shows are going to cost you, but one free one is Stand-Up on the Creek, featuring six of Charleston’s stand-up comedians.
THURSDAY. Another free Comedy Fest show is Beardmageddon: The End of Boredom as We Know It — but only if you won tickets through Young & Free South Carolina’s Facebook page. This month’s Summerville DREAM’s Third Thursday marks the beginning of the Summerville’s Biggest Loser challenge.
FRIDAY. Aggie Zed: Keeper’s Keep opens at the Halsey.
SATURDAY. Who will best interpret the men of the Holy City Beard and Mustache Society in their work at FR3SH Art Portrait Battle? There should be a betting service just for this event. The City Gallery’s Color in Freedom: Journey Along the Underground Railroad has a reception. Get a Taste of Folly out on Folly’s Center Street, or, after you vote for Stephen Colbert, bring you “I Voted” sticker to Oasis for drink specials.
SUNDAY. The Brick House Kitchen on Folly Road hosts its first ABC (arts, brew, and community) Fest, which is free for attendees and for vendors this time around.
