In always-hungry Charleston, food news flows into our inbox faster than Cheez-Wiz on Wheat Thins at a 7th grade slumber party. Which is why we’ve got a pu-pu platter of bite-size restaurant scoops — from chef announcements to construction updates — to share. Hope you like liverwurst.

The Moose is heading out into the wild. This spring/summer you’ll be able to grab a duck club on your way to Beachwalker Park. Yesterday the Moose tweeted that cement had been poured at the Johns Island location.

374 King St.
The new Chipotle at 374 King St. has been in the works for so long now, you’d think they were building the restaurant out of tacos by hand. But finally there’s a sign up, and a reader has passed along an email they received from Chipotle’s corporate office saying the restaurant plans to open on March 6.

492 King St.
Chef Nate Whiting’s long awaited return is nearing as the finishing touches get put on 492. The restaurant is expected to open in late February.
