If fancy ravioli is your thing, you might want to clear your calendar for Thurs. April 6. That’s the night Faculty Lounge owners Erik Hutson and Nayda Freire will reveal an early taste of their forthcoming pizza and wine concept, Renzo, set to open at 384 Huger St.

Ticket for the snacks and three-course meal featuring three pasta options are $25 per person with wine available separately by the glass or bottle. Now, you might be thinking, ‘No pizza?’ But there’s a good reason for that.

“We do not have our oven in place yet as we’re still under construction across the street,” explains Freire. “Can’t make good pizza without a good oven so we’re previewing other facets of the menu until then.”

For the preview dinner, the couple is partnering with David McCarus of McCarus Beverage Co. to serve some a la carte wines. McCarus is also bringing one of his producers, Christophe Ferrandis of Clos Signadore, to discuss the vino which will go along with the pasta dinner.

The dinner will only have one seating at Faculty Lounge at 7:30 p.m., so tickets are limited. Buy your seat at squareup.com/store/the-faculty-lounge.
