Lowcountry AIDS Services hosts its annual Gay Bingo fete Thurs. Aug 10 at Memminger Auditorium, raising funds to help fight the HIV epidemic in the Charleston community. VIP tickets to the always popular event are already sold out, so scoop up those general admission tickets ($25 online, $35 at the door) before they’re gone.

This year’s theme is The Show Must Go On: Best of Broadway. The theme reflects the importance of musical theater in the LGBT community, and guests are encouraged to don costumes as if they were headed for the stage. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed table, best dressed couple/duo, best dressed individual, and best take on the theme.

In addition to glitz, glamor, and five fabulous games of bingo (with equally fab prize packages) there will be a special musical performance by the “Camp Queen of the Carolinas” Patti O’ Furniture, a regular at Dudley’s on Ann.
