Grace Episcopal Church‘s Tea Room is hosting their annual Spoleto outreach event to raise money for local charities. With a menu full of Southern classics and coastal favorites, you’ll be sure to leave more than satisfied.

Among the 16 menu items are crab soup, ham biscuits served with a dijon butter poppy seed spread, and shrimp remoulade complete with boiled shrimp in a mustard-mayonnaise dressing. If you’re in a hurry, try Tea Room Express, where a limited number of menu items are served on the go.

Last year, the Tea Room raised a total of $31,000 over a span of two weeks that was donated to 21 charities throughout the tri-county area. This year, the church hopes to raise money for earthquake repairs. “It’s all homemade, delicious food served by volunteers in a really lovely setting,” said Grace Episcopal Church chair Susan Cromwell.

Meanwhile, St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church will also be hosting their 11th annual Afternoon Tea during the Spoleto festival in order to raise funds for local education and hunger relief programs. With seating inside both their dining room and their open courtyard across from Marion Square, their menu features tea sandwiches, a daily quiche, and a variety of desserts.
