A little nip in the air was appropriate to keep the ice from melting under the countless raw oysters at Patriots Point at Charleston Wine + Food’s Schucked event.

The bivalve-heavy event offered oysters in all forms on Saturday afternoon. Patron countered the oyster preparation with variety of its own. There was a nitrogen margarita station where a perfect frozen margarita could be concocted in seconds.
Festival goers could sample the tiers of tequila all the while slurping up oysters.

And variety was the focus. If steamed or roasted was more your bag, CFW had you covered. Over a dozen tables were set out to accommodate steaming hot oysters and shuckers. Chefs from around the South also took oysters and shrimp for a creative spin, such as Salt House Catering who served Royal Red Beignets. The Blue Stone Ramblers gave a lively backdrop to a perfect day for partaking in the food and drink.
