Kathy Griffin’s “My Life on the D-List” is one of the funniest shows on TV. Last weekend, it won an Emmy and she caused a stir with her thanks, particularly:
“A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus…Suck it, Jesus. This award is my God now.”
If you’ve ever seen the show, you know this response was part of her character. It’s an extension of her stand-up. But oh, how the Christians were offended. Kathy’s response was along the lines of “Am I the only Catholic left with a sense of humor?”
In this clip from a stand-up show, Kathy shows where she got her mouth from. There’s a lot of nasty language, so it may not be safe for work — and for delicate ears, it’s not safe for just about anywhere.
