[embed-1]Last month, we told you all about Southern festivals worth the road trip this fall, and while we included the Jam Room Music Festival in the list, the lineup was unannounced at that time. But the fest announced the headliner this week — boy, did they ever.
[content-2] On Sat. Oct. 14, Columbia’s Main Street will be filled with the sounds of indie cult faves Guided by Voices. Um, that’s a pretty big freakin’ deal, peeps. Making magic since the 1990s, the band is enjoying 2017 thus far with a tour supporting two recent releases, August Cake and How Do You Spell Heaven.
Also on the bill are Hiss Golden Messenger, Valley Maker, Bask, Bombadil, Columbia’s Fat Rat da Czar, Numbtongue, and the Lovely Few, and Charleston punk-rockers Hearts on Fire.
The full lineup is still in the works, so stay tuned to jamroommusicfestival.com for further deets. The festival is a one-day, outdoor, family-friendly event, and it’s free.
