KJ Kearney, the founder and director of local nonprofit H1GHER LEARNING, has created a New Era 9FIFTY snapback hat for the Charleston RiverDogs called the Charleston Night Cap. “This is the first time anyone outside of the RiverDogs organization has been afforded the opportunity to design their own cap,” says Kearney. The hat utilizes the RiverDog’s current design in a new way, seeking to appeal to a wider demographic and bring in new RiverDogs fans. Kearney says that he and RiverDogs merchandise director Mike DeAntonio have been working on this collaboration for years, and that the two will explain the full story behind the hat at the launch party.

The brand launches on July 27 at Sneaker downtown from 6-8 p.m. Reserve your spot at the launch event via the Sneaker website. Pre-orders for hats ($40) begin today, and people who purchase hats via Sneaker will receive two complimentary vouchers to a Charleston RiverDogs home game of their choice, while supplies last. A limited number of hats will also be available for purchase at the stadium.
