When an event is as unique as Saturday’s wedding reception/art exhibit at Eye Level Art, there are bound to be questions. The most resounding query I heard Saturday afternoon was “What do I wear to the HeArt Attack?” After fielding the fifth phone call from sartorial challenged friends, I knew this unique event was not to miss. One-half benefit art exhibit and one-half wedding reception, the evening was all heart.

The Eye Level Art warehouse was transformed into a magical space that any bride or groom would be excited to be welcomed into;  love-inspired works of art adorned the walls and chandeliers hung overhead. Even the photo booth matched the theme of the night — revelers had their pictures snapped in a “love boat.” Guests sipped on a “Heart Beet” specialty cocktail (who knew beet juice could be so tasty?) and swayed to the sounds of The Local Honeys.

Newlyweds Erin and Justin Nathanson mingled with attendees, thanking everyone for sharing their wedding day with them and for contributing to the American Heart Association in honor of the bride’s late grandfather. Guests seemed to be feeling the love, as many of the art works were sold by the end of the evening and a sizable donation was given to the AHA.
