[image-1]In order to help Houston victims of Hurricane Harvey, Husk Chef Sean Brock has partnered with Chris Shepard of Houston’s Underbelly restaurant to donate 100 percent of the proceeds on all Lioco wines and pimento cheese sold at Husk on Friday and Saturday to Southern Smoke Charity.

The nonprofit which is partnered with community hospital, Legacy Community Health, will, according to a press release, “distribute funds in the form of grants to the local food and beverage industry in Houston.”

Southern Smoke was originally created two years ago as a fundraiser for multiple sclerosis. Following the Harvey’s devastation however, Shepard decided to shift his event to helping his city recover.

On Oct. 22 pitmaster Rodney Scott will join Shepherd in Houston for the Southern Smoke event hosted at Underbelly, which will also support Hurricane recovery. General admission is $200; $350 for VIP. For tickets, visit southernsmoke.org.  [location-1]
