[image-3]Tomorrow the team behind Mex 1 will request approval from the Board of Architectural Review for their restaurant plans they’d like to build across from Santi’s, and we’ve got a look at the blueprints.

The two-story space will fill the bulk of the 810 Meeting St. lot which is currently empty. A large parking space would sit behind the restaurant that would run the length of Tattooed Moose. The restaurant would also feature an upstairs patio with view of the International Longshoremen’s Association across Morrison Drive.

The schematic’s legend also gives a hint of the style of the proposed property which includes: “palms in pavers to soften the building,” a “water feature,” and bespoke light fixtures reflecting the character of the existing lights on the site.”

Stay tuned to see if the BAR gives it the A-OK.
