Holy City Brewing and Pusser’s Rum teamed up to launch a Painkiller cocktail-inspired 16 ounce Belgian whitbier. The famous cocktail is made with pineapple and orange juice, cream of coconut, Pusser’s Rum and topped with freshly grated nutmeg.
The cocktail and rum originated from the British Virgin Islands, but found its way to North Charleston for an exciting team-up.
“We’re not far from Holy City Brewery, so we’re always here for lunch or meeting up with friends on the weekends to enjoy the wide variety of brews on tap,” said Dean Cowart, who oversees marketing and retail for Pusser’s. “We’re beyond excited to be working with Chris and the Holy City team who, like us, are all about local partnerships and helping each other out.”
The beer will be sold in a 16-ounce can, with 5.2% ABV at Holy City Brewing. Holy City will also offer a frozen version of the Painkiller cocktail at the inside restaurant and newly renovated “Cabana Bar.”
“We know everyone is going to love the frozen Painkiller’s and the new twist on a Belgian whitbier – it’s going to be a real gamechanger!” said Cowart.
Holy City Brewing is located at 1021 Aragon Ave. and open Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and closes at 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
