[image-1]If you love the magazine Cherry Bombe — the biannual publication focused on females in food — you’re going to want to grab tickets to Dec. 3’s event at Monarch Wine Merchants. The crew from Cherry Bombe will be hosting a wine and dine gathering to promote the new Cherry Bombe: Cookbook.
The book features 100 recipes from women who have been featured in the magazine: Top Chef‘s Padma Lakshmi, Christina Tosi of Milk Bar, and Jeni Britton Bauer of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams.
Lindsay Collins of EffinBRadio, who is co-hosting the event, calls Cherry Bombe a must-read for women in the industry because “they celebrate exactly that and do it with so much style.” Collins’ podcast recently interviewed Cherry Bombe‘s co-founder/editorial director Kerry Diamond, and she says that meeting led to the Cherry Bombe: Cookbook tour partnership.
“There’s such a kindredness in what EffinbRadio does and Cherry Bombe does that we wanted to host them in Charleston to celebrate the release of their brand new cookbook,” she says.
The intimate event (roughly 40 seats) will feature food from Melanie Durant from Scram Food Truck, Pastry Chef Cynthia Wong of Butcher & Bee, and Morgan Calcote, FIG’s GM/wine director. And, in keeping with the theme, Monarch’s Justin Coleman will be pouring bottles from female winemakers. And, Collins says, “It’s not only for women! Anyone can come hang!”
The party is from 3-5 p.m. and tickets to attend are $20, cookbook not included. [location-1]
