Week one of Spoleto and Piccolo Spoleto is almost over, and despite the pall of death that seems to be hanging over this year’s festival (read what our overview critic Jeffrey Day has to say about that here), we’ve been having a pretty good time running from performance to performance. And one of our favorites, Le Grand C, seems to be a festival favorite as well — the Spoleto box office tells us that performances by this French circus company have dipped into the limited availability range.

Rosanne Cash, the singer/songwriter and daughter of the late, great Johnny Cash, is also a hot ticket, with limited availability for her June 2 performance at TD Arena. To meet demand, Spoleto just opened more seats, so hop on those while you can.

On the Piccolo side, Woolfe Street Playhouse and PURE’s productions continue to be popular — Derma tickets are going fast, as are tickets for The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity. God of Carnage, with its petty parents and infamous vomit scene, and The Satire Diaries: Eat, Pray, Giggle! are hot tickets too.
