In its second year, the Charleston Green Fair — a coproduction of the Charleston City Paper — has ditched a formal Green Gala event at the Aquarium and instead added a new event that should be of particular interest to eco-minded foodies.
The progressive Sustainable Seafood dinner will take place at SSI partner restaurants around town on Tues., Sept. 22. There are three dine-around tours to choose from.
The King Street tour starts at Fish for the first course, heads to Halls Chophouse for the second, and then to the Swamp Fox at the Francis Marion hotel for the third. The tour starts promptly at 5:30 p.m. and all courses will be paired with wine. The Market Street tour begins at Hank’s Seafood, stops off at Cru Cafe, followed by Fleet Landing. The last route takes on East Bay Street, starting at High Cotton, stopping by the Buccaneer, and then on to Cypress. All three tours end at McCrady’s for dessert at 7 p.m.
Tickets are extremely limited, so if you want to get on the tour, best buy your tickets soon.
