Huger Street is getting a juice bar. Huriyali Juices owners Tom McFall and Ruchi Mistry have bought 401 Huger St. and are turning the tiny 250-square-foot space into their juicing HQ.

“For the past year and a half we’ve been using a kitchen out on Johns Island,” says McFall. But when they spotted the Huger Street green building and apartment — all zoned commercial — they figured it would make an excellent storefront. The partners currently sell their juices via delivery and at the Mt. Pleasant and Charleston farmers markets. With this expansion into North Central, McFall says they hope to capitalize on the the Hampton Park, and Wagener Terrace neighborhoods walkers.

“We’ll have a take out window,” says McFall, “So people can grab juice from there.” The space also has a small outdoor area where guests will be able to enjoy their juices — blends like kale, cucumber, apple, kiwi, berries, herbs, and Ginger — and light food items like gluten-free banana bread and house-made granola.

An official name and opening date have yet to be set, but McFall says the plan is to be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. once operational.
