Next Monday Nov. 6 be part of the conversation about opioid and heroin use in South Carolina.

Nonprofit Wake Up Carolina and expert panelists — including assistant professor at MUSC Justin Gass, Director of Collegiate Recovery at College of Charleston Wood Marchant, founder of Wake Up Carolina Nanci Shipman, DEA of Charleston Jason Sandoval, and community activist Lee Moultrie — will lead a discussion about how community members can de-stigmatize substance abuse. Each panelist will share what they do, the services they provide, and how they partner with the community to combat substance use disorder.

The conversation begins at 6:30 p.m. at CofC’s Beatty School of Business.
