The College of Charleston is holding their Fall 2019 installment of IN THE MIX by welcoming Arabella String Quartet to the Simmons Center of the Arts on Oct. 21. The event will include a conversation between host Quentin Baxter and Arabella String Quartet regarding management, recording and touring.
The Arabella String Quartet is internationally recognized, making members Julie Eskar, Sarita Kwok, Ettore Causa and Alevandre Lecarme the perfect candidates for discussing the music industry. “Understanding the recording process, marketing, performing logistics, and business decisions of a classical ensemble is vitally important to music industry students to better understand the business of a classical string quartet,” says a press release. What better way to hear about important aspects of the music industry than from the experts themselves?
Ever since 2014, when IN THE MIX premiered with special guests Darius Rucker and Cary Ann Hearst, the event has been working to educate and entertain those interested in Arts Management. Admission to IN THE MIX is free.
