[image-1]From kindergarteners to college students, the Stern Center ballroom at the College of Charleston was packed on Tuesday in anticipation for the inaugural ceremony. The College provided all-American chili, cheeseburgers, cookies, and trailmix, along with raffle tickets, political rubber-duckies, and a cardboard cut-out of Obama to snap a picture with. The entire room was involved in cheering and excessive clapping throughout the ceremony, including the little ones in the front row. College of Charleston art students also attended, and sketched the animated crowd using pencils and charcoal. The event took place from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and the turnout was a great success. —Anna Linesch[image-2]
