Back in November, Danny McBride crashed The Alley’s Studio 300 party, and that may have not just been a coincidence. Rumor has it — at least according to a tweet from ABC News 4’s Jon Bruce — the Eastbound and Down star has selected Charleston as the place to shoot his next series titled Vice Principals, which he’s working on with his Eastbound co-creator Jody Hill.

There aren’t many details about the new HBO series, but here’s what we know. According to an article on TheVerge.com, the show promises to continue in the vein of Eastbound‘s  “smart, rowdy, and unpredictable style of comedy.” Vice Principals will be set in a high school and looks at the workings of the school and the people who run it. According to deadline.com, Da’vine Joy Randolph (Selfie) will play the female lead, the principal at Lincoln High School, and Sheaun McKinney (Graceland) will star as a cafeteria worker.

HBO did not immediately respond to an email to confirm.

UPDATE: The Post and Courier received confirmation Thursday night via email from HBO that Vice Principals will be shot in town: “Vice Principals — the story of a high school and the people who almost run it, the vice principals — will film in Charleston, although it was unknown exactly when or where.”**
