Vintage Charleston “rock ‘n’ roll party band” The Krushtones resurface next week for a 27th anniversary reunion weekend at the Sand Dollar on Folly Beach.

The Krushtones existed in one form or another from around 1983 to 1993, playing a mix of psychedelic blues, hippie-rock, British Invasion and bar faves. They started doing reunion weekends at the Sand Dollar around 2003.

The current lineup features singer/guitarist/horn player John Krucke, bassist Dave Kushubar, keyboardist Big Mike Murray, and drummer Dennis Davis.

Look and listen for the ‘Tones on Fri. April 9 and Sat. April 10 (Miss Krushtones herself might be in attendance as well).

Visit their Facebook page for vintage posters and pics, and check out for music and extras.
