Drinking vinegars are not new to this city. Back in 2012, CP writer Susan Cohen wrote about the drinking vinegars at the short-lived Izakaya Hiro. But in the story she mentions that FIG had had the “traditional Asian drink on its menu for years.” Now a new company, JAM Beverage Co. is producing them for retail locally.
In a press release today we’ve learned that Jacob Fuhr, an F&B veteran, has started the business. Apparently he got into drinking vinegars after after experimenting with a pouch of plum vinegar from a local Asian market.
