Sit down to an eight (!) course meal with a long list of local chefs at this year’s James Beard Foundation Celebrity Chef dinner, held at Tradd’s on Wed. May 15. All-inclusive tickets are $200 and can be purchased online. The night starts with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m., with dinner kicking off at 7 p.m.

Participating Charleston chefs include: Brandon Buck (Tradd’s); Bob Cook (Edmund’s Oast); Kelly Franz (Magnolia’s); Remy Funfrock (Gabrielle); Travis Grimes (Husk); Kevin Johnson (The Grocery); Michael Toscano (Le Farfalle); Ken Vendrinksi (Trattoria Lucca); and visiting chef, Michael Ginor (Hudson Valley Foie Gras).

Keep your eye on the JBF event page for menu items, TBA.

Together the chefs will create those eight dishes, paired with wine, beer, and spirits from Curated Selections, Winebow Fine Wine + Spirits, Advintage Distributing, and local Belgian-influenced brewery, Munkle Brewing.

Proceeds from the dinner benefit the James Beard Foundation (JBF), which hosts events around the country to educate and inspire diners and chefs alike. Learn more about JBF online.
