If you’re a bourbon fiend (high brow or handle chugger), look no further than Paddock & Whisky in the Terrace Plaza on Maybank Highway. You can order 2 oz. of the Four Roses 130th Anniversary for $50, or Evan Williams Black for $5.

“The inspiration behind opening Paddock is the bourbons,” said co-owner Reid Stone in a press release. “We not only want people to try the most select bourbon and whiskies from around the world, we want people to know the stories behind the barrels. It’s important for us to share how and where those bourbons are being made.”

In addition to ordering from more than 50 bourbons, guests can order cocktails like the Frozen Mint Julep and an Old Fashioned made in house with a special simple syrup. The food menu, crafted by Home Team Barbecue executive chef Taylor Garrigan, features a handful of apps like crudite, hummus, and a snack board, plus a few sandwiches. Paddock has also been hosting Jack of Cups pop-ups, with a curry-centric menu available on Wednesday nights.

“Paddock is a neighborhood bar at heart,” said GM and co-owner Chris Van Liew. “We want people to enjoy and learn about bourbon, but we also offer a full bar so everyone can find something they like.”
