The Charleston Jewish Community Center puts on a book and film fest every year as part of its annual event programming. This year’s Filmfest kicks off with Israeli film The Wedding Plan, a “delicately layered” film about what happens when a woman’s fiancé calls off their wedding. The film screens at Terrace Theater on Wed. Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a discussion about the film and the meanings behind it.

The mission of the Charleston Jewish Community Center Without Walls is to provide “diverse, inclusive, and vibrant programming” with a Jewish focus to unite the community. The aim of the film series is to bring together Charleston Jews and educate non-Jewish community members about Jewish culture and heritage.

Tickets for The Wedding Plan are on sale now for pre-purchase and are $12.50.
