JohnHenry Tecklenburg’s art will be presented at Highfalutin Coffee Roasters in West Ashley from Nov. 12 through Dec. 30. An opening reception at the coffee shop will take place Nov. 12 at 6 p.m.

Tecklenburg’s artwork, ranging from oils, wood carvings, sculptures, and pastels, is known for inspiring undertones and spiritual qualities. His artwork can be seen on display in the collection of the American Embassy in Bern, Switzerland. The artist is the son of Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg, who lives near Avondale in West Ashley’s Crescent neighborhood.

Ward Buchheister’s one-man-band will entertain crowds with “horn-filled original music” at the opening reception, as well. Tecklenburg’s art can be found on his website.
