While candidates are busy locking up Iowa, the campaigns are making sure South Carolina doesn’t feel neglected.
Here’s the latest from the Obama camp:
Ted Sorensen, the former speechwriter and senior adviser for President John F. Kennedy, will visit the Lowcountry Wednesday to talk about why U.S. Sen. Barack Obama is the best candidate to bring fundamental change to Washington.
Sorensen advised Kennedy on foreign policy and domestic issues, becoming a trusted aide, who Kennedy referred to as his “intellectual blood bank.” Sorensen played an important role in resolving the Cuban Missile Crisis and has worked on a number of campaigns, including Robert F. Kennedy’s.
The Charleston event is at 7 p.m. tonight at Porter-Gaud, 300 Albemarle Road.
