Next Fri. Sept. 22 at 8 a.m. head to Redux Contemporary Art Center for a Creative Mornings Charleston (CMCHS) talk on the topic of compassion from local musician and art entrepreneur Leah Suarez. The event is free to attend but be sure to reserve your ticket online on Mon. Sept. 18 at 10 a.m.

Suarez, who performs in duos and bands around town, is also one of the founding partners of the Jazz Artists of Charleston (now called Charleston Jazz). In a Q&A with CMCHS Suarez talks about why she loves what she does, “Finding and creating connection between energies and bearing witness to the experiences of current time and space.
