[image-1]New York’s Chef Einat Admony took falafel and made it special, according to the Village Voice. The Tel-Aviv born chef — who credits preparing her family’s Shabbat dinners as the start of her culinary love affair — is the woman behind NYC’s modern Israeli restaurant Balaboosta, Bar Bolonat, and falafel spot Taïm.

Now she’s bringing her modern Israeli/Mediterranean expertise to Charleston when she stops by Leon’s Oyster Shed for its Sat. Sept. 9 guest chef dinner.

According to Leon’s owner Brooks Reitz, Admony is one of his favorite NYC chefs and for her Charleston event she’ll present some of her favorite foods inspired by Leon’s favorite ingredients: oysters, shrimp, seafood, and, of course, chicken.

The dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. with drinks and passed snacks, followed by a family style meal with wine. The$ 75 ticket includes beer, wine, dinner, and a specialty cocktail created for evening.

The menu is as follows:
