The North Charleston Performing Arts Center announced their 2012-2013 Best of Broadway season this morning, just in time for the biggest show in the history of the venue: Wicked.
The season will be anchored by Cameron Mackintosh’s brand new production of Les Miserables Feb. 19-24. Its the longest running musical in the world, and the new 25th anniversary production has been breaking box office records worldwide.
Also included in the lineup: Rock of Ages (Oct. 4-5), a guilty pleasure “party musical” filled with classic ’80s hits from bands like Whitesnake, Styx, Journey, Poison, and more.
Nov. 23-24, Shrek the Musical hits the stage, then Dec. 18-19 we’ll see the classic West Side Story. Kicking off the new year, Blue Man Group will perform Jan. 11-12.
