Hating the Hutt
Every time I read your paper, my head explodes. This time, it’s because of a rude letter about little kids waving a “Nobama” sign. (Love/Hate, “Dog and Jabba Breed Baby Nobamas,” April 29) I have a few comments:
Kids, whether waving “Nobama” signs or “Obama” signs, are only parroting what their parents say, just like you did before you learned to think for yourself, assuming you did.
Oh, so Obama’s our president and not going anywhere for four years, eh? How come that didn’t work for George W., who was our president and not going anywhere for eight years? I seem to recall quite a lot of criticism the past eight years. Did everybody miss the memo on not criticizing the president?
Also, the tea partiers have a darn good point about the government spending our money and trashing our rights.
And don’t we still have the right to free speech and assembly or does that just apply to left-wing protesters? You just demean yourself with ad hominem attacks, which do not rise to the level of intelligent discourse.
And you completely misunderstand biology if you think Dog the Bounty Hunter and Jabba the Hutt could reproduce.
