Head Down

I travel quite a bit for my job. Often, I am in northern New Jersey (Newark) and in Detroit. Occasionally, when I need to go to North Charleston, I am astounded at how similar these cities are. People loitering everywhere during the day, drinking out of paper bags, vacant strip malls, filthy sidewalks and streets, constant police sirens blaring. If the chief of police thinks North Charleston is not that dangerous, would he feel safe allowing his children or family members to walk around during the evening unarmed? I think not. It’s time for him to pull his head out of his ass.
