After 40 years in office, Charleston’s beloved mayor, Joseph P. Riley Jr., will finally say goodbye to City Hall, and all of us here at the City Paper will be sad to see him hang it up. In fact, we feel pretty comfortable saying that Joe Riley is not only the best but the hardest-working mayor in the country, and as such, he deserves to enjoy his golden years. Consider this an exploration of all the wonderful things he will be able to do once he leaves office in January. We love you, Joe.
