The South Carolina Aquarium will require employees to take 10 days off between now and Feb. 20 without pay in order to deal with budget shortfalls, according to News 4.

According to the Aquarium, “the announcement comes in large part due to the depressed tourism industry, slowing attendance and lower levels of overall giving.”

We’re assuming someone will still be around to feed the fish in the big tank — you know, besides the sharks, we’re pretty sure they could feed themselves if they’re hungry enough.
