Summerville native Johnny Wactor is staring in a brand new NBC TV series titled Siberia this summer. Wactor has appeared on Army Wives several times, and currently lives in L.A.

Siberia is a faux-reality television show that takes 16 “contestants” and drops them into remote Siberia to compete on a Survivor-type televised competition. And then bad things start to happen. The show is said to be a mixture of Survivor and Lost, completely with mysterious bloodthirsty forest creatures.

On the show, Johnny Wactor plays the “I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to make money” macho-jerk character. The contestants on the show all go by their real names, further blurring the boundaries between reality and scripted shows. The series looks promising for the adrenaline junkie or fans of psychological thrillers.

Siberia airs Mondays on NBC. Check out nbc.com to see the series trailer.
