Charleston-based artist Manning Williams died Friday after a long illness. He was 73 years old.
A graduate of the College of Charleston, Williams also taught at the school for more than 15 years. Over his long career, Williams’ works have been exhibited at Corrigan Gallery, the Gibbes, the Gaillard, the S.C. State Museum, and the Charleston Airport.
Williams’ funeral service will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. Johannes Lutheran Church (48 Hassell St.) with visitation at 1 p.m. You can leave a memory message here.
