Craving Creole? Head on up to Park Circle. Jeff Filosa’s LoLA Low Country Louisiana Seafood Kitchen (4830 O’Hear Ave.) officially opened Friday night.

“We’ve been well received in the neighborhood,” says Filosa, the man also behind the Carolina Creole food truck.

Currently, Filosa’s LoLA is serving an abridged version of the restaurant’s ultimate menu, including items like Bayou bowls, crawfish mac and cheese, étouffée, barbecue shrimp LaFayette, crawfish poppers, and more. Plus, LoLA also has a full cocktail list to accompany his large happy-hour menu featuring items like cajun calamari and duck fat fries.

At the moment, LoLA is open Mon.-Thurs. 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Fri. and Sat. from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Filosa plans to roll out Sunday brunch in March along with LoLA’s full menu.
